At AFD Systems we solve complex engineering challenges across aerospace, defence and other regulated sectors. With 600+ projects delivered across 70 fixed-wing and rotary air platforms, UAVs, and drones, our work supports safety, performance and mission success for leading organisations.

We’re an ambitious team of around 25 staff, where everyone’s contribution is seen and valued.

Training, mentoring and development

From apprentices and graduates to senior specialists, everyone at AFD Systems received structured development.

You’ll receive mentoring, regular training to support your growth plan and access to external courses where they add value. We provide specific training in CAD and FEA software, and in Part 21 topics such as Part21G/J requirements, Safety Management Systems, Human Factors and Compliance Verification.

AFD Systems Apprenticeships

We’re committed to building the next generation of engineers. Our five-year Degree Apprenticeship Programme, delivered with Blackpool and the Fylde College (B&FC), combines academic learning with real project work. Apprentices and graduates rotate through teams, contribute to live programmes early, and are supported by experienced professionals.
